course FAQs

  • We love a prepared student! You’ll need to sign our studio agreement here.

  • Come as you are! We’ll have all the tools you’ll need to succeed. It’ll be best to come dressed in closed toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy. Keep in mind that shorter nails are easier to throw with, and if you have long hair, keep it tied back.

  • As a multi week student, you’ll have unlimited access to staffed studio hours (Wednesday-Sunday, 11am-6pm) for the span of your multi-week course! Come in and practice on your schedule. While these hours are staffed, they are not instructional time. Please be mindful of our studio techs as they keep everything running smoothly and ensure kilns are fired on schedule.

We do not offer refunds and all purchases are final.

  • As many as you want, being mindful of our firing fees! Since you have open studio access for the span of your multi-week course, you can become that prolific artist you were meant to be.

  • Visit our shop to buy clay and other special tools. If you want any cool merch, we have them for purchase as well.

Our firing fees are $1 per pound for both bisque and glaze firing. Glaze is included.

  • These courses are recommended for people ages 18+, but we may be able to accommodate high school students or younger if accompanied with an adult at all times. Contact us if you have specific questions!

  • Wheel throwing takes practice, patience, and time. Every beginner potter learns to let go of attachment to their pieces since breakage and mishaps are common, even for the most experienced of potters. Most students need to take each level 2-3 times before moving on.
